Spring Accessory Refresh

Spring is one of my favorite seasons to dress for since there are so many fun, colorful patterns and styles to wear! This spring, there are more trends than just the classic floral pattern coming back, so be ready to see a mix of 90s inspired handbags and unique jewelry. Today I am sharing some accessories that you can use to spruce up your spring wardrobe.

This spring, ditch your plain old white and black socks for some fun patterns! Patterned socks are a great way to add color and detail to an otherwise simple outfit. If socks aren’t your style, then opt for some patterned tights instead for an equally cute and funky look. I paired these smiley face socks with some white Doc Martens and then kept my sweater and skirt simple to draw out the patterned socks and tie the look together.

Rings are another one of my favorite ways to accessorize, and this spring, statement rings are making a much-welcomed appearance. Colored gems, like the first ring, are going to be popular in all forms of jewelry this upcoming spring. Chunky gold rings are another spring staple: classic, timeless and chic.

Charms are definitely making a comeback this spring, whether they be on necklaces, bags or shoes. This playful trend perfectly juxtaposes the classic pearl necklace, which is making another appearance this season. Pearl necklaces are timeless, and when shortened to the choker length, they are a youthful, stylish accessory.

This style has made a comeback in the past couple of years and will definitely be popular this spring. Brown and green accessories have also been prevalent in fashion recently and are likely to maintain popularity in the upcoming season. I styled this brown 90s bag with a pair of simple light-wash jeans and an olive green crop top layered under a pink silk shirt. Silk is also a popular spring fabric: clean, smooth and chic. I added my pearl necklace, which I thrifted from my local Plato’s Closet, to polish off the look.

Totes bags are not only super cute, but they are one of the most practical accessories a girl can have in her closet! Retro-patterned tote bags are perfect for spring. Whether you are in school and carrying around your laptop or going to a farmers market on the weekend, they are the ultimate accessory. Platform sandals are also making an appearance this upcoming season. For example, these white retro platforms I have on, are super versatile. You can also pair platforms, sandals or heels with patterned socks, as seen on Emma Chamberlain, for a funky and stylish look!
