THANK YOU for supporting a locally owned and operated business!
Plato's Closet Lone Tree has been a staple in the Lone Tree community since 2006 and was purchased by current owner, Theresa Preston, in 2016. Theresa is a Colorado native, a graduate of CSU Fort Collins, and has owned and operated Plato's Closets in Colorado, Wyoming, and Georgia over the years. We are proud to be a female-owned business and are even more proud to serve the amazing city of Lone Tree and surrounding areas by not only making fashion affordable and keeping clothing out of landfills, but by funneling money straight back into what matters most: our community. We thank you for your continued support of our small business!
What kind of clothing do you buy?
We buy gently used, trendy, and in-style clothing, shoes, and accessories for teens and young adults. Think brands like Nike, Adidas, Hollister, Abercrombie, Lululemon, and more.
How do you determine what to buy?
We evaluate items based on brand, style, condition, and current demand. Our team uses detailed reports for each category to make sure our inventory stays balanced and stocked with the right items. We also follow trend guides from Winmark Corporation and conduct our own research on popular brands and styles to ensure we’re bringing in the products our customers want most.
How much will I get for my items?
Items are priced 50-70% off going retail, and you receive 30-40% of that price. We offer cash on the spot, store credit, or you can use the money you earn towards a purchase and save on sales tax.
Do I need an appointment to sell?
No appointment necessary, we work on a first-come-first serve basis. We are a same-day service.
What's your return policy?
Items are returnable within seven days (one week) with the tags attached and receipt. Clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
If you do not have both of the pieces mentioned above, or try to return the item(s) outside of the seven day range, management has the right to decline the return or only offer in-store credit/exchange.
If item(s) were purchased with Apple Pay, we will need the physical card to process the return.
We do not accept returns from other locations, and items purchased at our location cannot be returned to other locations.
Do I need an ID to sell?
Yes, you need a valid, state-issued ID to sell. That can be a driver's license, permit, ID, military ID or passport. We also accept the MyColoradoApp. We do not accept photos of IDs.
