How to Sell to Plato's
Want to sell clothes to us here at Plato's but not sure how? Watch this video to find out!!
Do I need an appointment to sell my clothes?
No appointment is needed. We operate on a first come, first served basis. You can bring your items in at any time during our buying hours.
How does the selling process work?
You walk in, bring your clothes to the counter, and a buyer reviews them. They will type the items they want into the computer system, which generates a price. We offer you cash on the spot or store credit for the items we accepted. We also do accept all seasons all year long.
What do I need to bring with me to sell?
To sell your clothes, you need an active phone number that allows text and an email. You must also bring a physical, valid government ID.
Do you accept all brands and styles?
We specifically look for trendy, casual clothes targeted at teens and young adults (high school and college aged kids). We do carry a variety of brands, but mostly looking for brands you find at malls. Some popular brands American Eagle, Lululemon, Nike, Zara, Garage, Brandy Melville, John Galt, and Urban Outfitters. We do also buy footwear, bags and accessories.
How much money will I get for selling?
We price items at about 60%-70% off what they would retail for brand new. From that priced amount, we will pay you roughly 30%-40% in cash. Example: If you brought a shirt that we will try and sell for $10 in our store, you can expect to get around $3-$4 for it.
What sizes do you carry?
We try and be highly inclusive of young adult sizes:
Girls/women: Pant sizes 0-26 and XXS-6X for tops.
Guys/Men: Pant sizes 28"-44" and XS-6X for tops.
Reminder: We don't accept children or youth sizes.
