We strive to provide our community a cool place to shop with good music, a fun atmosphere, great clothes and organization for ease of shopping. We also offer our customers a sustainable shopping experience by buying and selling gently used items that come straight from our communities.

What does Plato's Closet sell?
We buy and sell gently used items for teens and young adults. We sell items for up to 70% off regular retail everyday! We sell shoes, clothes, accessories like purses, hats, jewelry and more!
How does selling to Plato's Closet work?
We buy and sell gently used items for cash on the spot, or offer a same day trade! We are looking to buy your teen and young adult items like brand name, trendy clothes, shoes and accessories. When you bring in your items, we are looking at your items for brands, style and condition - we enter them into our computer which produces an overall quote. Then we offer you cash on the spot! Or if you are shopping, you can trade with us for a 10% off discount (at this location).
Please bring your items freshly laundered in a container, along with your ID and phone. It is a same day process, no appointment necessary! Shop around while we process your items.
What brands or items does Plato's Closet NOT buy?
We buy tons of items, but there are a few items we do not sell at our store:
- Kids items
- Undergarments
- Non-apparel items like toys, sporting goods, furniture, etc.
- Items that have allergens like odors of smoke or animal hair
- Items with stains, too much 'love' or wear, items that have been altered.
We buy most mall brands, online brands and boutique brands with the exception of:
- Walmart brands (No Boundaries/NOBO, George, Time and True, etc)
- SHEIN and like fast fashion brands - tend to not hold value, and not eco-friendly.
Do I need to make an appointment to sell my items?
No. We do not make appointments for our customers to sell. Our buy counter is open typically during business hours all day, everyday. We do have the exception for big events that they counter may have limited hours. The buying process is same day, first come, first serve - if you sell on Monday, you must pick up your quote on Monday.
Does Plato's Closet have fitting rooms?
Yes! We have fitting rooms to try on a select number of items as a time. However, please note, no large purses or tote bags are allowed in fitting rooms. We also have one ADA compliant fitting room for those that need access. All fitting room doors are locked until our team member counts your items, and lets you in :)
Can I still sell my stuff?
Certainly! We're asking customers to bring their items in an open bin or basket. Please sanitize the bin or basket before bringing it in and make sure items are freshly laundered.
