POSITION:              Store Manager

POSITION PURPOSE

Ensure high quality store operation including excellent customer service, staff development and productivity, business and back-office administration.

Responsibilities & Expectation:

• Fully manage store staffing including scheduling, hiring as needed, training, coaching, performance valuations and feedback, and adjusting pay per store pay policy
• Ensure coverage for call outs, including covering open shifts when no associates are available to cover
• Perform business management duties, including approving time sheets, running payroll, analyzing sales and buying trends, updating floor allocation in response to trends, updating buying guidelines, and ensuring necessary supplies are ordered as needed
• Answer shift leader and assistant manager questions, both in store and remotely
• Develop and provide recommendations to owners to improve business results
• Partner with owners to carry out marketing and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience managing teams in a customer-facing industry (retail, restaurant, etc.)
• Proficiency in excel or google sheets to complete analysis for staffing, sales and buy trends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability aligned to store scheduling needs including weekends and weeknights
• Knowledge of and ability to keep up with latest teen and young adult fashion trends

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
• Lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving,
• pricing and stocking merchandise.
• No exposure to hazardous materials or environments.
• Able to operate a computerized sales terminal.

Hours, Pay and Benefits:

The store manager will be a salaried employee and can expect to average 40 hours per week. In addition to base salary, the manager will be eligible for bonus pay if store profitability targets are met. The store manager will also have a Paid Time Off benefit. Base salary is dependent on experience.
