At Plato's Closet we buy all season all year round. Brands and styles from the past 1-2 years that have been popular or trending in the mall and online. All items must come in freshly laundered, no stains, rips, holes or excessive wear, folded in a reusable bin or container (no garbage bags). We also buy accessories like purses, shoes, belts, as well as lightly used (75% full bottles) of perfume/cologne.

We buy every day up until an hour before we close, no appointment necessary. When you arrive one of our certified buyers will sign you in and check a piece of photo ID (you must be 18 years of age or older to sell with us). They will give you a time quote, and then they will sort through your items and select items that are in good condition, are styles and brands that sell well for our store. Those items then get entered into our computer system, which prices them out based on brand and condition of the item 50-70% below retail price. Of that price you are offered 30-40% up front in cash. For example, if the computer system prices and item out at $15 you are offered approximately $5.25 for the item. When your items are complete you will receive a text message and come up to the front/return to the store where we will communicate what items we would like to offer on and what items if any we are passing on. If you choose to accept the offer it's cash on the spot, and if not the items just go home with you. All items are processed same day.

If you are shopping when selling items with us, and we are able to offer cash for any of your items you can do a trade where you put the money you would be receiving towards the new items you wish to purchase and save sales tax, BONUS!
