Plato's Closet makes it easy for sustainability-focused teens and young adults to buy affordably and sell gently used clothes, shoes and accessories for cash on the spot. Each Plato's Closet location is individually owned and operated by local business owners, so you can feel good about shopping small.
1. Bring In Your Items To Sell
Embrace sustainability and declutter your wardrobe by bringing in your gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories from top brands. Ensure they are clean and in great condition. Bring items in a sturdy container such as a laundry basket or reusable bag. No trash bags please. Have your phone and photo ID to sign in. We work on a first come, first serve basis and will provide a time estimate for completion.
2. We'll Check Them Out
While you shop our latest arrivals, our buyers will carefully evaluate your items. We buy current trendy styles in good condition. Our focus is on styles that were in stores within the last two years and that meet our current customer demands and inventory needs. We will text when completed.
3. Get Paid Cash OR Trade Tax Free
Once we've decided on the items to purchase, we'll present you with an offer. Our computer generates prices based on the style, brand and condition. We pay 1/3 of our price in cash. If you're thrilled with the deal, you'll walk away with cash in hand. OR you can choose to trade your items for something new and save on sales tax.
