Position Purpose:

To help promote all aspects of the business including but not limited to buying, selling, pricing, merchandising, creating social and marketing content and cleaning. Promote a high level of customer service by ensuring customers are assisted in an enthusiastic, timely, and knowledgeable manner. Assist store management in daily store operations, including the buying of used merchandise.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

1. Greet customers immediately, determine their needs, and handle all transactions in a professional and enthusiastic manner. Maintain a quick, efficient pace at all times.

2. Become familiar with products, brands and prices and make recommendations of products, including their features and benefits, to suit customers needs. Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by adding items to the close of the sale.

3. Buy used product, reinforcing the customers purchases and sales to store. Invite customer to return to the store to buy, sell, or trade and promote image of store concept. Become Buyer Certified within 3 months.

4. Price and ticket items appropriately based on pricing/buying guidelines. Restock store following merchandising plan. Maintain store displays and follow store housekeeping (including cleaning) and maintenance standards and procedure.

5. Be prompt. Work as a mature, professional, responsible team player, ensuring store is always neat, clean and organized and in top shape for next day opening.

6. Develop proficiency in operating sales tracking system for all sales transactions, buys, returns, etc.

7. Complete assigned tasks making sure they meet the high store standards.

8. Attend all staff meetings, have ability to receive emails, utilize applications on phone, read and respond to all internal correspondence.

9. Stay abreast of current fashion, (i.e.) mall visits, store flyers, Buyer Certification test and Trend Guide quiz, and read Whats Hot monthly.

10. Achieve personal and store sales goals by applying sound customer service and sales protocol.

11. Utilize personal knowledge of social media to assist in the creation of social and marketing content. Demonstrate creativity in executing merchandising plans. 

Qualifications:

A. Physical requirements:

o Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.

o Lifting up to 40lbs and carrying without assistance.

o Bending, rotating and reaching conductive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise, shoveling sidewalks.

o Able to operate a computerized sales terminal pertaining to buying and selling product. Must be efficient and accurate.

o No allergies to dust, scents, or pet dander.

o Ability to work well as a team member and to take and follow directions, always being encouraging, kind and helpful to staff and customers.

o Customer focus, drive and enthusiasm, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, an aptitude for team work.

o Have a never ending supply of energy and enthusiasm, friendliness and warmth

o Sales and goal-driven.

o Understand that this retail position is in a demanding and fast-moving environment, involving constant change and variety.

o Assist store in the creation of social and marketing content. Demonstrate creativity in executing merchandising plans. 

Part-time hours: 15 to 40 per week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Starting Hourly Rate: $15.50 per hour.

Under 18, $14.60 per hour
