About Plato's Closet Asheville
Platos Closet buys and sells gently used clothes, shoes and accessories, so you can recycle the items you no longer wear and get paid on the spot. We buy styles for all seasons, all day, every day, with no appointment necessary. Each Platos Closet location is individually owned and operated by local business owners, so you can feel good about shopping small.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
No, you do not need an appointment. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring in your freshly laundered clothes and shoes when it's convenient for you! We ask that you bring in your items between 10 am and 1 pm or between 4 and 6 pm Mon - Sat, and noon - 3 pm on Sundays.
HOW DO I BRING ITEMS IN?
We kindly ask that you bring your freshly laundered items into Plato's Closet in a plastic bin, laundry basket, reuseable tote bag, or box (no plastic bags please). Please do not bring in your items in on hangers. Simply fold your clean items and place them neatly in your container.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR?
Plato's Closet looks for your brand name gently-used apparel and accessories for teens and twenty-somethings. Items that are on-trend and typicfally not older than 2 years old; please make sure they are free of staining, fading, and holes that were not manufactured. Items must be free of odors.
WHAT DO YOU USUALLY PAY?
Our pricing is all done by our corporate-based computer system. Items are priced based on style, condition, age, and inventory levels.
WHEN DURING THE DAY DO YOU BUY CLOTHES?
Current Buy hours:
Monday - Saturday: 10 am - 1 pm and 4 - 6 pm
Sunday: Noon - 3 pm
