Thrifted Spring Styles

Out with the old and in with the new, that's what spring cleaning is all about. It also means moving away from our winter wardrobe, and into fun and fresh spring fashion. However, you don’t need to break the bank when revamping your wardrobe. As a college student, I am always looking for sustainable gently used clothes for a good price. Resale or thrift stores are the perfect place to look for fashionable and affordable pieces this spring. Today, I'm sharing a few adorable pieces I thrifted and how I intend to style them this spring.
Long skirts are definitely a staple in my wardrobe and they are essential during the spring. They are ideal for those days that aren’t quite sunny enough for a mini skirt, plus they are super cute! I found this gently used blue floral Brandy Melville skirt at Plato’s Closet for only $14. I then paired the skirt with a simple button-up cardigan and some white Doc Martens to finish off this bright, fun look.
One of my favorite things about shopping at resale or thrift stores is that you can find unique pieces to spice up your wardrobe. I am so in love with this bright floral skirt — it is perfect for spring, and I can’t wait to style it more! Plus, I got it for only $8 at Plato’s Closet! This is a perfect example of how you can find super cute and unique pieces at resale stores.
Retro floral dresses are definitely a go-to during springtime. They are cute, comfortable and super easy to just throw on when you have no idea what to wear. This long floral dress is such great quality, and it even has a silk slip underneath — not to mention, I snagged it for only $14 at Plato’s Closet! I am so in love with the pattern, texture and lace detailing, it is definitely going to become a staple of mine this season!
Bralettes are another spring essential, in my opinion. For example, I found this floral bralette top, originally from Victoria's Secret PINK, at my nearest Plato’s Closet for just $5! With this look, I tried keeping it simple and comfortable and I paired it with some white jeans that I also thrifted online. This is my ideal spring outfit, bright, floral and comfortable!
On warm spring days, I love nothing more than cute floral miniskirts! I am obsessed with the bright cherry blossom pattern on this skirt. I paired it with this green criss-cross neckline top and my white platforms to create my ideal spring break vacation look. The best part of this skirt is that it is reversible and that I got it for only $3 on clearance!
I hope some of these looks inspire you to go thrifting and find awesome deals on super cute clothes at your local Plato’s Closet or resale store. Remember that revamping your wardrobe for spring can be done affordably and sustainably!
