Layer Up in Style: Liah’s Winter Wardrobe Essentials
Posted by Liah Escobedo on Jan 15th 2025
Winter is the perfect time to slow down, embrace cozy moments with family and friends, and enjoy the comfort of layering your outfits. It's a season that invites us to get creative with our wardrobe while staying warm and stylish. Here are some essential pieces to keep you chic and cozy during your winter outings!
My favorite essential for the winter is layering outfits with flannels! While traditional flannels are made from t-shirt material, the pattern has evolved to include thicker sweater options as well.
Plato’s Closet has a great selection of trendy, cozy items like this patterned flannel and warm sweaters that are ideal for transitioning into the chilly weather. I love shopping at my local Plato’s Closet because they offer a mix of unique styles, high-quality pieces, and sustainable options, all at affordable prices.
One of my best finds was a tan oversized flannel coat, which is super versatile and can be styled in countless ways. For a cozy yet stylish look, I paired it with brown jeans, a simple bodysuit, and boots for the perfect winter ensemble.
Layering is key to staying warm, but having a solid foundation is just as important for both comfort and style. Denim jeans are a staple that can elevate any outfit. Lately, I’ve been loving the combination of dark blue jeans with a brown top—it creates a beautiful, chic contrast that's perfect for both casual outings and nights out with friends.
If the evening chill creeps in, I rely on accessories like faux-fur bucket hats or ear muffs to keep my face warm and stylish. These accessories are not only practical but also add a fun, fashionable touch to your look.
For a chic and simple city outing, I paired my faux-fur bucket hat with a denim dress, creating a stylish yet cozy outfit that's perfect for colder evenings.
Winter is the season to get creative with layering and play with different textures and colors. I hope this post inspires you to stay warm while experimenting with fresh new looks this winter!
