Fall for Sustainability

Fall for Sustainability

Posted by Danielle Celio on Oct 15th 2024

With the arrival of a new season, new fashion trends emerge. I love finding a balance in staying on top of these trends while also prioritizing sustainable shopping. In this post, I'll be showcasing three of my go-to fall outfits and how I incorporate sustainability in my fashion choices.

I love everything girly, so the bow trend is the perfect fit for me! I knew I had to snag one of these trendy tops, but I made sure to be conscious of the style I chose. For me, being sustainable means considering how often I can rework a piece into different outfits. I specifically picked this top from the trend because of its neutral color, which can pair well with any bottoms, making it perfect for layering throughout the fall months!

Plato’s Closet is one of my favorite places to visit and browse for sustainable and versatile pieces. I recently found a new set of activewear that has become a fall favorite of mine! The blue is the perfect trendy color that I can wear to the gym, while running errands, or during pumpkin painting night with my friends.

Everyone needs some fall staples in their closet that they can wear all season long. I like to have a few basic sweaters that I can wear in a variety of ways so I can keep my fast fashion consumption to a minimum. This sleeveless sweater is the perfect shade of brown for cozy fall days. I love styling it with my bubble letter necklace, platform shoes, and any pair of jeans!

Sustainability is such an important topic for our world. On my sustainability journey, I’ve learned that thrifting and buying capsule pieces are essential for minimizing fast fashion consumption. Plato’s Closet is my go-to place when I need a closet refresh, and I feel good about purchasing like-new items! I hope today’s post inspires you to be more sustainable this fall!
