Day to Night Looks

As summer approaches, I feel like my social life and all the warm weather fun starts to kick up again! I’m so excited for late night hangouts with friends and enjoying my favorite time of year again. In today’s blog, I'm highlighting three outfits that are perfect for gorgeous summer days and can transition easily into any nighttime adventure. All these looks are versatile, so pieces can easily be found at your local Plato’s Closet. Keep reading for some day-to-night style inspiration!

I really like the easy breezy button-up looks I’ve seen all over social media recently. I will admit that I was nervous to style this trend at first. After trying the oversized button-up look, I was hooked! For this look, I wore a button-up dress that’s perfect for a springtime patio dinner. A basic button-up is a perfect staple that can be worn oversized as a dress or tucked into some relaxed jeans with strappy sandals depending on where your day will take you!

I used to always struggle with what to wear for casual basics in warmer weather. I have recently found a specific style that I love because it works for errands during the day and I can still wear it at night when grabbing ice cream or during a movie night with friends. I love wearing rompers with a tee underneath like I am wearing here with some white sneakers. It creates an effortlessly put-together look that compliments any size or style. When I think of outfits that work from day to night, a casual dress always comes to mind! I live in athletic dresses for school and everyday errands because of their comfort and durability. For this outfit, I wanted to wear a soft pink to compliment the beauty of the green summer scenery around me! I love that this staple piece can be pulled together with a trendy zip-up hoodie and platform shoes. If you are styling a nighttime dinner outfit, a jean jacket and sandals pair perfectly with a casual dress. Anything that’s already in your closet can be added to this staple piece!
